Spring 2018 Athletics Season Begins

This week, Solano College Athletics Spring sports will start their seasons with much anticipated home openers. On Tuesday January 30, the Baseball team , led by first year head Coach Tyren Sillanpaa will take on College of San Mateo at 2pm at Yarborough Stadium. Also on January 30 at 2pm, Solano College Men's and Women's Tennis will host Foothill College.

Thursday February 1, at 2pm, the 2018 Softball team will kick of its' campaign vs De Anza College. After an excellent semester of preparation in the Fall, the team looks forward to a great year under the guidance of first year Head Coach Nikki Gentile. In addition to an exciting squad, the team will be playing in the renovated Softball stadium which features new bleachers and a new press box. First pitch will be delivered by Supervisor Brown who is and has been a great supporter of the program.

On Friday, February 2, both Solano Men's and Women's basketball teams will host College of Marin starting at 5.30pm. This evening has been designated 'Girls Scout night.'

Athletic Directors, Four Pillars Award

Athletic Director Award

The Women's Soccer Team was honored at the Student Athlete Welcome Back Luncheon as the recipient of the Athletics Director Award for the team which excelled in our Four Pillars of Falcon success: Academics, Athletics , Community Service and Citizenship. The team achieved a 3.3 cum GPA, featured an Academic All-American, and clinched another CCCAA Play off bid.
