Alison Aubert Alison Aubert MS, AT,C

Alison has been the Head Athletic Trainer at Solano College since 1993. Prior to that ,she worked at Santa Ana College, and Chapman University. Alison has been very involved in the California Athletic Trainers Association, and served as district director and secretary. Alison has been very active with the United States Olympic Committee, by working Track and Field at the Los Angeles 1984 Games, Atlanta 1996 Games, Olympic Trials in 2000 and 2004 as a Medical Director. She also interned at the San Diego Olympic Training Center in 2002. Alison was the Medical Director of the Steelheads, the Vacaville independent professional baseball team for its existence.

John Frisch John Frisch AT,C

John has been the Assistant Athletic Trainer since 2004. John joined the staff after leaving a law practice to pursue the field of athletic training. John has worked at St. Patrick's High School, Napa College, and Pacific Union College. John has been the Athletic Trainer for the Solano Chiefs, a Semi Pro Football club, and was a Medical Director at the 2004 Olympic Track and Field Trials.

Daniel Romero Daniel Romero MS AT,C

Daniel Romero MS, AT,C graduated from Rodriguez High School; then attended Sacramento State as an Athletic Training Major and received his Bachelor’s Degree. Daniel became NATA (National Athletic Trainers Association) certified and was hired at Oklahoma State as a graduate assistant, where he taught Sports Medicine courses and completed his Master’s Degree in Athletic Training. Daniel is responsible for the teaching and growth of the Solano student athletic training staff.

Carica Macariola

Carica started as a student athletic trainer at Solano Community College in 1994 and received her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration of Athletic Training from Sonoma State University in 1999. She has worked at St. Patrick St. Vincent High School for 13 years and has been assisting at Solano Community College on an as needed basis. She has volunteered as an Athletic Trainer for the Olympic Trials for Track and Field and for the NCAA Track and Field Championships held in Sacramento. Carica just finished working with the Vallejo Admirals Professional Baseball this past summer and is looking to pursue her Masters in Sports Medicine so she can find a position at the Junior College Level.

Aliyah George

Aliyah is a freshman in her first semester at Solano. She is majoring in sports medicine and wants to become an athletic trainer. She plans on spending 2-3 years working towards an A.S. Degree in Sports Medicine/Fitness Science. Aliyah plans on transferring to a 4-year after Solano and receiving her Bachelors in Athletic Training.

Remmington Green

This is Remmington's first year of two she plans on spending at Solano. After she completes her GE she hopes to transfer to San Diego State University or CSU Long Beach. There, she will earn a degree in Kinesiology to take with her to PA school.

Erin O'Keefe

Erin received her Associates of Science Degree in Sports Medicine from Solano College in August of 2013. This is her second semester as a student athletic trainer and in the fall of 2013 she will be attending Sac State to pursue a degree in Kinesiology. Most recently, Erin spent her summer interning as a student athletic trainer for the Vallejo Admirals, a professional independently owned baseball team located in Vallejo, CA. This semester, her focus will be in assisting the Women's Basketball team and helping out with other teams as needed.

Courtney Sanchez

Working as the lead student trainer, Courtney is working towards finishing her Associates of Science Degree in Sports Medicine. She was a member of the women's volleyball program for two years and will continue to work with them as a trainer this fall.

Julius Passion

This is his second year at Solano Community College and is majoring in Sports Medicine. This will be his 3rd semester as a student trainer. He is a license Certified Nursing Assistant. Julius plans on transferring to a four year when he finishes his 2 years at Solano. He is looking to transfer somewhere out of state in 2014. Julius worked with softball last spring and will be assisting with Women's Volleyball this fall.

Gilbert Weatherbee

This is his fourth year at Solano College and his third year as a student trainer. His major is Physical Therapy and Athletic Training. He has helped with in the past: Women's Soccer, Basketball, and Softball. As well as Men's baseball. He is helping out with the Women's soccer program this fall and is helping out with the Women's Basketball program this spring. He plans to transfer somewhere in fall 2014.

Kristina Kountouris

This is Kristina's second year at Solano Community College and her first semester working as a student trainer. She will be helping out with the Men's Basketball program. She is majoring in Sports Medicine and wants to pursue her career working with athletes. She is currently playing her second year on the Women's Basketball team.

Hannah Carlson

This is Hannah's second year at Solano Community College majoring in Biology and her second semester working as a student athletic trainer. She assisted with the men's baseball team last semester and plans to help with the baseball team and men's basketball team this year. Hannah spent her summer interning as a student athletic trainer for the Vallejo Admirals, a professional independently owned baseball team located in Vallejo, CA. After Solano she plans to transfer to UC Davis.

Michael Dazo

Michael is currently attending Sacramento State and is majoring in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training. This is his fourth semester working as an athletic trainer. He has worked with the women's softball team, basketball team and the soccer team. Michael has also worked with the Will C. Wood High school football program, the Semi-pro Sacramento Fury football program and also the Dixon Rugby Program as of late. He is excited to pursue a career in the field of athletic training, and hoping to find a job on the collegiate or professional level.

John Rowell

John will be attending Sacramento State University this fall as well as working alongside the other student trainers at Solano. This will be his third year as a student trainer. He is majoring in Sports Medicine/Kinesiology and plans on pursuing a career in Athletic training.
