Higher Education Act of 2008

Effective July 1, 2010, federal law requires certain specific actions regarding course materials by institutions of higher education that receive federal funds. The primary requirement of note is that textbook information be published when registration for a term begins, whenever possible.

The Act also requires certain things from publishers, including “unbundling” and separate availability of supplemental items, in most cases.

Research textbooks by subject, discover their popularity and where they are used, link to publisher web sites, request desk copies, and more. Plus, build your personal notebook for the titles you select, and choose your own password for future access

Contact your division office or the Bookstore for the SCC "new user" name and password.
