Information
What is Community Services?
Community Services classes are those of special
interest or those designed for a specific audience or need. They are non-credit,
usually shorter in duration than credit classes, and do not require lengthy preparation or
rigorous testing. Because they are offered in response to an expressed interest or
need, some classes may not be repeated while others may be scheduled each semester.
If you have ideas for future Community Services classes or would like to see a certain
topic addressed, send us your suggestions on the registration form or give us a call.

Fees
Community Services students pay fees to cover instructional
costs and use of facilities. In some cases, an additional materials fee is charged
by the instructor to pay for expendable supplies used during the course. Community
Services classes do not receive state or tax support.

Registration
Pre-registration is suggested at all times to hold your
space in class. It is required for certain courses and must be received prior to the
first class meeting. Registration is completed when all fees are paid. We
accept personal checks, money orders, and VISA/MasterCard (do not mail cash).
You can
register in-person or by phone with the Community Services Office, Monday through Thursday
10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (Room 610) and by FAX (707) 864-7210. In a few cases, instructors
will accept registrations at the first class meeting (checks only!). However, it is
always best to call to confirm class meeting times and rooms. Register early to
ensure that your class is not cancelled.

The College further reserves the right to ask a student to withdraw when it considers such
action to be in the interest of the College.
Although we make every effort to avoid mistakes, our

Cancellations
Solano College reserves the right to cancel any course that
does not have sufficient enrollment to cover expenses. The decision to cancel is
usually made one week before the first scheduled class meeting, and every effort is made
to notify registered students promptly. You can help save a good course by
registering at least two weeks before it begins.

Refunds
Refunds are granted only if requested at least two (2)
working days before a class begins. Field trips require ten (10) working days prior
notice. The class receipt must be returned to the Community Services Office before a
refund can be issued. Full refund is granted if the course is cancelled. All
other refunds are subject to a $10 service charge. You can also transfer your
registration to another person or class if you wish. Refunds are not granted once a class
begins.

Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. You can park daily $1 (four quarters required), or
you may purchase a permit for $5. If you have a temporary or permanent disability,
let us know so we can arrange more convenient parking for you. If you plan to
purchase a parking decal, please send us your car/motorcycle license number and the color,
year and make of your vehicle (see registration form). Visitors can park free in Lot
