| Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG)
A Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) is a formal, written agreement that outlines the courses you must complete before transferring, states the grade point average you must earn and any special requirements.
After the TAG is written, you sign the agreement, along with a counselor and the representative from the four year college. The current colleges and universities that we have agreements with are:
- Davis
TAG's written up to one year before transferring.
- Irvine
TAG's written during open filing period for UC admission for the quarter.
- Merced
TAG’s written year round or as soon as student intends to enroll in a community college.
- Riverside
TAG’s written year-round and at least two months prior to the open filing period for UC admissions for the quarter.
- San Diego
TAG’s written prior to Fall 2009, beginning with fall 2009 applicants will no longer require a separate contracts to pursue a TAG.
- Santa Barbara
Does not require a TAG application but an application is required for fall quarter admission only
- Santa Cruz
TAG’s written one year prior to transfer (fall quarter only)
Please refer to www.assist.org for more information on qualifications needed to sign up for TAG.
Spring in Davis
StudeStudents with TAG's for Fall may take one class at Davis in Spring at no cost.
- Cal-State Hayward
TAG's can be written (Student does not need one).
- CSU San Francisco
Will write a Transfer Eligibility Agreement. WILL SAY ONLY THAT THEY ARE ELIGIBLE NOT GUARANTEED.
Most California State Universities sponsor the Lower-Division Transfer Patterns (LDTP) supported by the California Community Colleges. LDTP presents potential transfer students with a set of “road maps” to follow that will insure appropriate academic preparation for students at CSU and that will decrease time to graduation once these students enter CSU. |
