We also have in-house paperwork to complete which will be explained to
you when you visit us.
Transcripts from prior schools must be on file in our Admissions
and
Records Office by your second term at Solano.
Processing paperwork takes 6-8 weeks by the VA once it leaves this
office. Setting
up a Chapter 35 claim usually takes a little longer.
Payment is received at the end of every month once processing is
completed.
Education Plan
If you are new to Solano and have a college degree from an accredited
school, you must have an education plan written by our Veterans
Counselor prior to the processing of your VA paperwork.
Under all circumstances, you must have an education plan written by our
Veterans Counselor prior to entering your third semester at Solano.
Once you have an education plan on file, you must enroll in the approved
courses to receive payment.
Deferment of fees is available on a case-by-case basis, if you apply
with the OVA prior
to registering.
Adds and drops must be reported to the OVA immediately.
