Liberal Arts Honors
Program Description
An interdisciplinary program which offers
high achieving, highly motivated students an enriched educational
experience designed to prepare them for a successful transition from
community college to university.
Category 1:
Entering high school graduates who have:
scored 4 or better on the advanced placement exam in any academic area
(Government, History, Language and Composition, Literature and
Composition, Math, or Science).
Category 2:
Solano College students who have:
Achieved a 3.5 GPA after completing twelve units in Solano College
classes. (NOTE: These 12 units must be completed in any Solano
College course numbered 1 through 49, excluding PE activity classes.)
Once admitted to the Honors Program,
students must maintain a 3.5 overall GPA, with a minimum grade of
"B" in each honors course in order to remain eligible for the
Honors program.
Associate
in Arts Degree
The Associate
in Arts Degree can be obtained by completing a minimum of 18 units in
Honors courses, general education requirements, and electives. The
18 units in Honors courses must include a minimum of 3 units in three of
the four areas of the Liberal Arts Program shown below.
