proprietorship, partnership or corporation - is that of management. Every
organization in our society is concerned with the most effective
utilization of money, materials and labor.
Program Description
This program is designed for those planning to start their own
business, buy an existing business, buy a franchise, or who already own
their own business. This option emphasizes learning the concepts and
practical skills necessary to be a successful, professional
entrepreneur. Specifically designed for working adults, the courses
emphasize a systematic approach to business which focuses on the
integration of theoretical and practical skills.
Opportunities
Explore the wide range of career and lifestyle alternatives within the
field of small business ranging from the home/garage to multi-location
franchising. Entrepreneurship is limited only by an individual's
knowledge, interest and efforts.
To achieve the:
Associate of Science Degree - Completion
of at least 60 units, including the 28-unit major, general education
requirements, and electives. Students planning to transfer to a four-year
college or university should consult the catalog of the college to which
they intend to transfer for lower division required classes.
Certificate of Achievement - Completion
of the 28-unit major.
