Emile Vine't's musical career includes backing up Aaron
Neville and Percy Sledge, and opening for blues greats
Bobby "Blue" Bland and Johnny Taylor. Aside from
playing in Jazz and Blues festivals, he has also played
with Bay Area musicians such as Nelson Braxton and
Delbert Bump. The son of Emile Vine't Sr., a long time
New Orleans Jazz pianist, Emile has written and performed
music at an early age. He studied music at Southern University
in his hometown of New Orleans. He also plays guitar, bass,
keyboards, drums, and the saxophone.
The Ethnic Studies Program is presenting this event, which is being sponsored by Professor Delbert Bump,
Professor Walt Mikolajcik, and the Associated Students.
