The Importance of Self-Esteem

Dr. Paulette J. Perfumo, Solano Community College's

sixth Superintendent-President since 1966, has earned

a Master's degree in Education and a Ph.D. in Higher

Education Administration from UCLA. She is a member

of the American Education Research Association, the

American Vocational Association, the Association of

California Community College Administrators (ACCCA),

and the National Speakers Association. Presently, she is

completing a second term on the Board of Directors for

the ACCCA. She has given speeches on self-esteem,

maximum performance, goal setting, achieving personal

dreams, and academic excellence, at conferences

throughout the U.S.

The Ethnic Studies Program is presenting this event, which is being sponsored

by Professor Anne Bevilacqua, Professor Abla Saah, and the Associated Students.
