Grant Awards

The newest program offering is the state-funded Entitlement CAL Grant Award. This has a March 2nd deadline. Interested applicants must be California residents and do the following:
- For school year 2008-2009, submit a Grade Point Verification Form to the California Student Aid Commission by March
2, 2008. This form is available at the local high school and the SCC Office of Financial Aid, Room 425 in the Library Building.
- Submit a 2008-09 Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Cal Grant A Entitlement Award

Every graduating high school senior who has at least a 3.0 grade point average, meets the Cal Grant financial and academic requirements, and applies on time will receive a Cal Grant A Entitlement award. The entitlement award covers full system-wide fees at UC and CSU campuses, and tuition and fee support at independent colleges.
Cal Grant B Entitlement Award

Every graduating high school senior who has at least a 2.0 grade point average, meets the Cal Grant financial and eligibility requirements, and applies on time will receive a Cal Grant B Entitlement award.
Cal Grant C Award

Cal Grant C awards assist students in
occupational or vocational programs with tuition and training costs. The
$576 award is for books, tools, and equipment.
