How to Apply for Financial Aid: All students are encouraged to apply for the array of Federal and State Financial Aid programs offered at Solano Community College.  By completing the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Renewal FAFSA, students will automatically be considered for most federal and state programs.

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) should be completed and submitted online to the United States Department of Education processing center between January 1 and no later than the Solano Community College priority filing date of March 2. Students must apply for financial aid each year beginning January 1 – March 2.

After applying, each student will be emailed or mailed a Student Aid Report (SAR) from the United States Department of Education. Students should review their SAR for accuracy and make necessary corrections online at www.fafsa.ed.gov under Step 3. Additionally, students should be prepared to provide copies of federal income tax returns and/or verification of untaxed income received.
