The faculty and staff of the Fine and Applied Arts/Behavioral Sciences Division welcome you to a division that encompasses the disciplines and programs of art, early childhood education, interior design, human development, music, nutrition, photography, psychology, social science, sociology, speech, telecommunications (film & TV) and theatre arts. Our Art department consists of programs in Art History, painting, drawing, graphic arts and printmaking. Early Childhood Education and Human Development can assist you in preparing for a job providing child care or to be a better parent. Photography will teach you how to develop photographic film in our photo lab or to edit and print your digital photos. We also regularly offer a Travel Photography class to interesting destinations around the world.
The Dean of Fine & Applied Arts/Behavioral Sciences also supervises the Children’s Programs child care center, the Solano College Theatre and Youth Theatre, the Ethnic Studies lecture series, and the Solano County Foster Care and Kinship training program run by Dottie Fair.
As you can see the Fine & Applied Arts/Behavioral Sciences Division represents a broad spectrum of curriculum and programs. We are deeply involved in offering the knowledge and skills that will take you into the next millennium. Please contact us for any guidance or assistance about our programs, faculty or courses.
Sincerely, Leslie Rota
