Looking for a newspaper, magazine, e-book, or journal article? As an SCC student, you have online access to indexed and full-text articles from reference books, journals, magazines, and newspapers through your Library's database subscriptions.

Resources are for Solano College students, faculty, and staff. These resources are available off-campus, with a library barcode number.



EBSCOhost and ProQuest are two big databases that provide access to newspapers, journals, magazines, and other information sources across a wide array of subject areas including current events, science, business, education, politics, history, religion, health, and more. ProQuest contains historical databases, going back to 1851!

CHOOSING A TOPIC?Points of View Reference Center

Points of View is a full text database providing access to information & opinions on controversial or hot topics. Database includes topic overviews, viewpoint and counterpoint articles, and critical analysis guides.

CQ Electronic Library

Full-text access to CQ Researcher (current issues), CQ Weekly (recent activity in Congress), CQ Encyclopedia of American Government and CQ Supreme Court.
