Looking for a newspaper, magazine, e-book, or journal article? As an SCC student, you have online access to indexed and full-text articles from reference books, journals, magazines, and newspapers through your Library's database subscriptions.

Resources are for Solano College students, faculty, and staff. These resources are available off-campus, with a library barcode number.



EBSCOhost and ProQuest are two big databases that provide access to newspapers, journals, magazines, and other information sources across a wide array of subject areas including current events, science, business, education, politics, history, religion, health, and more. ProQuest contains historical databases, going back to 1851!

Opposing Viewpoints database

A great place to go before you begin your research, Opposing Viewpoints is a database covering social issues. Includes viewpoint articles, contextual topic overviews, government and organizational statistics, biographies of social activists, court cases, profiles of government agencies and special interest groups, newspaper and magazines articles.

CQ Electronic Library

Full-text access to CQ Researcher (current issues), CQ Weekly (recent activity in Congress), CQ Encyclopedia of American Government and CQ Supreme Court.
