Biology
An Associate in Science Degree can be obtained by completing the 43-45 unit major with a grade of “C” (2.0) or better in Organismal Biology (BioSc 1), Cell and Molecular Biology (BioSc 2), two semesters of General Chemistry (Chem 1 and 2), two semesters of Organic Chemistry (Chem 3 and 4), two semesters of Physics (either Physics 2 and 4 or Physics 6 and 7), and two semesters of Analytic Geometry and Calculus (either Math 30 and 31 or Math 20 and  21), the electives, and the general education requirements for a total of 64-66 units.

Biotechnology
A Certificate of Achievement can be obtained upon completion of the 20-22 unit major with a grade of “C” or better in Intermediate or General Chemistry (Chem 10 or Chem 1), Microbiology or Cell/Molecular Biology (Biosc 14 or BioSc 2), Principles of Biotechnology (Biotech 51), Business and Regulatory Practices (Biotech 52), Cell Culture and Fermentation (Biotech 53), Recovery Practices (Biotech 54), and Analytical Practices (Biotech 55).  An Associate in Science Degree can be obtained upon completion of the above major courses with a grade of “C” or better in each course, the electives, and the general education requirements for a total of 60 units.

Chemistry
Students can earn an Associate in Science Degree by completing the 29-32 unit major with a grade of “C” or better in two semesters of General Chemistry (Chem 1 and 2), two semesters of Organic Chemistry (Chem 3 and 4), Quantitative Analysis (Chem 5), one semester of any Biological Science course except 48 or 98, and one semester of Physics (Phys 2 or 6 or 10), the general education requirements, and the electives for a total of 60 units.

Mathematics
An Associate in Arts Degree can be obtained upon completion of the 18-19 unit major with a grade of “C” (2.0) or better in three semesters of Analytic Geometry and Calculus (Math 20, 21, and 22) and one of the following courses:  Elementary Statistics (Math 11), Mathematical Ideas (Math 12), Finite Math (Math 15), Differential Equations (Math 23), or Intro to Linear Algebra (Math 40), completion of the general education requirements, and the electives for a total of 60 units.

Physics
The Associate in Science Degree can be earned by completing a total of 60 units that include the general education requirements, electives, and the 29-33 unit major with a grade of “C” or better in the following:  two semesters of Analytic Geometry and Calculus (Math 20 and 21), Differential Equations (Math 23), three semesters of Physics for Science and Engineering (Phys 6, 7, and 8), 3-5 units from the Biological Sciences (BioSc 1 through BioSc 18), and 3-5 units from the Physical Sciences (Astr 10, Chem 1 through Chem 11, Geog 1, Geol 1 through Geol 5, Meter 10, or PhySc 12).

Science, General
Students will be awarded an Associate in Arts Degree after they have completed a minimum of 18 units in the major with a grade of “C” or better in each course, the electives, and the general education requirements for a total of 60 units.  The major must include 12 units of laboratory work and consist of at least one course from the Biological Sciences (Anth1, BioSc 1 through BioSc 18) and one from the following list of Physical Science courses:  Astr 10, Chem 1 through Chem 11, Geog 1, Geol 1 through Geol 5, Meter 10, PhySc 12, and Phys 2 through Phys 10.
