Student Fees and Refunds

FEE AMOUNT REQUIRED OF REFUNDS
Enrollment Fee $20.00 per unit
(beginning Spring 2007)
All students except those who qualify for a fee waiver and Special Admission students. Refund for courses dropped by appropriate deadline.
Health Fee $13.00 per semester

$5.00 Summer
All students except those who qualify for a fee waiver Refundable if all classes are dropped before semester begins
Parking Permit Fee $20.00 per vehicle per semester

$6.00 Summer

(motorcycles excluded)
All students who park on campus or at the off-campus Centers Refund available if requested by appropriate deadline
Non-Resident Tuition Fee $181.00 per unit in addition to the enrollment fee
All out-of-state students Refund available if requested by appropriate deadline.
Student  I.D. Card Fee $5.00 All students taking classes on campus and those who use the Library, Financial Aid, Computer Labs and redeem Financial Aid checks Refundable if requested by appropriate deadline.  Original receipt must accompany Refund Request form (I.D. card must not have been made yet)
Student Center Fee $1.00 per credit unit for classes held on SCC campus All students (to a maximum of $10.00 per academic year) except those who qualify for a fee waiver Refundable if all classes are dropped before the semester begins
Help Students Fund Donation $1.00 Optional Non-refundable

Student Refunds

Photo I.D. Refund

The Photo I.D. fee is refundable if the I.D. has NOT been issued to the student, and the Request for Refund form with the original receipt is received in the Office of Admissions and Records by the end of the second week of instruction.

Health Fee Refund

The Health fee is only refundable if all classes are dropped prior to the beginning of the semester.
Student Center Fee

The Student Center fee is refundable if all classes are dropped before the semester begins.

Help Students Fund

The Help Students Fund donation is entirely optional and non-refundable.

Applying for Refunds

Fees are not automatically refunded. A student must file a Request for Refund form, available at the Office of Admissions and Records or at http://www.solano.edu/oar/forms.html, by the deadline dates specified in Important Dates and Deadlines. Checks for approved refunds are mailed approximately 6 weeks after the term begins, or 4 weeks from the filing date, whichever is later.
