
Terri Pearson-Bloom, Head Coach
While at Solano, Pearson-Bloom hopes
to help her players achieve their potential on the field and in the
classroom. The Solano staff emphasizes fundamentals and teaches the
mechanics, skills and strategies to help them succeed both as a
player and a coach.
Terri Pearson-Bloom enters her fifth
season at Solano having compiled a 89-67 record at the Fairfield
campus.
- In 2004, the Falcons finished the
season with a 22-14 overall record and Pearson-Bloom watched four
players move on to four-year schools.

In 2003, Pearson-Bloom's Falcons
posted a 25-19 record, 7-11 in conference, and took fourth place in
the Bay Valley Conference's Gold Division.

In 2002, the Falcons finished 18-19,
13-9 in conference and 8-7 overall, good enough for a third place
finish in the Gold Division.

In her first season at Solano, she led
the Falcons to a 24-15 overall record, claiming first place in the
Silver Division with a 7-3 record. The team finished with a 13-4
conference record and made a regional appearance.
Among Pearson-Bloom's biggest
accomplishments has been her teams' academic success. Solano teams are some
of the best in the state academically.

In 2004, the team was ranked 16th
nationally among junior colleges with a team GPA of 2.9. The
team was also ranked as high as No. 3 in the state and held the
highest team GPA in the BVC west division.

In 2003, the Falcons were ranked 22nd
in the nation as an NFCA All-Academic team with a combined 2.910
GPA. The team had the highest GPA in the Bay Valley Conference.
Pearson-Bloom has coached eight
academic All-Americans in four years as well as several of her
players being named to the Dean’s List and earning Bay Valley
Conference academic awards. Since her arrival in 2000,
Pearson-Bloom has coached academic All-Americans every season.
Pearson-Bloom brings a wealth of
knowledge about the game of softball and has turned the Solano
program into one of the most respected in Northern California.
Before coming to Solano, Pearson-Bloom
served as the head coach for one year with the Virginia Roadsters of
the Women's Professional Softball League during the 1999-2000 season
where her team finished second place in the regular season.
Pearson-Bloom was selected to coach in the All-Star Game.
Pearson-Bloom's coaching career began
at St. Mary's College in Moraga where she served as an assistant
from 1995-96. She moved on to the University of Tennessee and was an
assistant for the Lady Vols for three seasons (1997-99).
She was a standout player at Cal State
Northridge where she led the team to four regional appearances and
three World Series appearances while batting leadoff and playing in
the outfield. In her final season at Northridge, the
team advanced to the national championship game where it eventually
lost to Arizona.
Pearson-Bloom's list of former players
include Nebraska coach Jennifer Kline, Northridge coach Barbara
Jordan, Stanford assistant Trisha Dean and Sara Pickering and UNLV
assistant Sara Pickering.
She earned her bachelor's degree in
Speech Communication from Northridge and her masters in Physical
Education from Western Illinois. While at Tennessee, she began
working on another masters in Sports Psychology.

Curtiss Brown, Assistant Coach
Curtiss Brown enters his second year with the Solano softball
program after serving as the school’s baseball coach from 1991-2001.
Brown is a defensive specialist and is in charge of the catchers and
the infield. Brown brings 20 years of coaching baseball to the
program.
He earned his Bachelor’s in Physical Education from CSU, Chico and
his Master’s in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Exercise
Physiology and Biomechanics from the University of Oklahoma. He is a
certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National
Strength and Conditioning Association.

Jessica Adcock, Assistant Coach
Jessica Adcock, who played at Solano from 2000-02, is in her first
year on the coaching staff after completing a successful career at
Lynn University in Florida.
Adcock will be in charge of the pitchers and catchers this year. Her
task is no small one as she has four effective hurlers and two solid
catchers to work with.
At Lynn University, Adcock was the starting catcher and two-year
captain. She was a standout student as well, being named to the
honor roll all four semesters on campus.
Adcock was a second-team all-Bay Valley Conference selection her
freshman year at Solano. She earned the Falcon Award that year as
well. As a sophomore, she was an academic All-American and team MVP.
Adcock was also a member of the Dean’s List at SCC for four semesters
and was on the President’s Honor Roll for two semesters.
