Solano College Soccer
05/19/09 - NATYCAA Scholar Athlete Honorable Mention
FAIRFIELD, CA – SCC Women's Soccer player, Katie Knopp, has received honorable mention for a prestigious national award. Not only was Katie named a women’s soccer All-America this year, but just this morning she was named “Honorable Mention” for the NATYCAA (National Association of Two-Year Collegiate Athletic Administrators) Scholar Athlete Award. This is the top academic and athletic honor that any community/junior college student-athlete can win!
Congratulations to Katie, Coach Jeff Cardinal, and all of the faculty and staff that supported Katie in her academic and athletic quests at Solano College. Katie has accepted a scholarship to San Jose State and will be playing soccer for the Spartans this fall.
