If I want to transfer to a four-year school, what should I do?

You need to meet with a counselor who will assist you in choosing the appropriate course work necessary for transfer.

I was placed on probation last semester but received passing grades this semester, why do I still have to see a counselor and petition the Academic Council?

Once placed on probation, a student will remain on probation until his/her overall (cumulative) grade point average is 2.0 or better. Students are encouraged to meet with a counselor to discuss their academic progress; however, they are not blocked from registering in classes until they have been disqualified. Students who have been academically disqualified are required to meet with a counselor prior to registering for the subsequent term. If they achieve a 2.25 grade point average or better during the term of readmission, they will be automatically readmitted on probation and will not be required to meet with a counselor.

Matriculation

What is matriculation?

Matriculation is a process that brings the college and a student who enrolls for credit into an agreement to realize the student's educational goal. The agreement acknowledges the responsibilities of both parties to reach those goals through the college's established programs, policies and requirements. Refer to the current class schedule for complete information.
