- Student I.D. Cards

Do I have to buy a student I.D. card?

All students enrolled in courses at Solano Community College are required to have an identification card. An identification card is required as proof of enrollment for students using any of the learning labs on campus (computer labs, learning resources lab, math lab). The I.D. card is required for purchases by check from the College Bookstore, checking out materials from the College Library, and many times it affords the student discounts to various College events and activities. The I.D. card is also required to pick up financial aid checks.

Where do I get a student I.D. card?

A student I.D. card may be ordered through Online Services or R.S.V.P. registration. Once your fees have been received and posted, your registration receipt/class schedule will be mailed to you. You may then take your receipt to the Student Development Office (Room 1409, Building 1400-Student Center) during Walk-In registration hours to have your picture taken and your card made. You may also purchase an I.D. card at the Office of Admissions and Records (Building 100). The receipt must be taken to the Student Development Office (Room 1409, Building 1400-Student Center) to have your picture taken and your card made.

I have a fee waiver or am on workman's compensation.  Isn't my I.D. charge covered?

A student must pay for his/her I.D. card. The fee is not covered by a fee waiver or workman's compensation.

Can I have a temporary I.D. card? I've left mine at home...it's in the car...can't find it...need one immediately to pick up my financial aid check, but I don't have the money to pay for it.

Temporary cards are issued only when we are unable to process permanent cards on the spot.
