SUCCESS Transfer Assistance Program (STAP)
also known as
Transfer Making It Happen (TMIH) Program

The SUCCESS (Solano University and Community College Educational Support Services) Consortium is an organization of educational institutions and nonprofit agencies made possible by the commitment of the governing boards and /or administrative officers of those institutions and agencies to the Consortium. The SUCCESS TMIH/STAP program is designed to assist community college students who come from groups with historically low college eligibility and attendance rates with completing their pre-transfer studies more successfully and to help those students transfer to 4-year institutions.

The TMIH program is available to those eligible students who would like support in transferring to a 4-year college from Solano Community College, Napa Valley College, and Sacramento City College.

Key services provided by TMIH/STAP:

  • Support and encouragement in reaching and achieving educational goals

  • Distribution of updated information on financial aid, scholarships, transfer requirements, career exploration, and other topics of interest related to transfer via workshops, newsletters and group and/or individual meeting with SUCCESS advisors

  • Advisement regarding transfer, to include a checklist of everything needed to transfer

  • Referrals for tutoring services and other resources of benefit to the student

  • Two scholarships awarded at year end.
