What does VIP stand for?

Besides “Very Important Person” – You!, 
it also stands for Virtual Information Program.

VIP Orientation is designed to be informative and interesting while giving you guidance for a smooth journey along the path to the destination of your choice. 

Your Application for Admission must be on file for us to record your completion of Orientation. Click on Application now if you have not completed an application, or if you were not enrolled in classes last semester. There is no cost or obligation to apply for admission.  However, you do not have to apply as a student to explore VIP.

How do I navigate this orientation website?

VIP Orientation includes links within VIP, as well as links to other helpful resources either on the Solano College site or other outside sites.  You can tell if you are in VIP Orientation by the title at the top of the page.

• There are two ways to navigate within VIP Orientation.

  To proceed through the steps in sequence, click on NEXT>> or <<BACK at the bottom of the pages.
  
  To go directly to specific VIP information, click on the navigation buttons in the blue bar on the left side of the page or on the item links in the VIP Directory.
   

• Links to other resources are found within in the VIP information text.

  Click on the blue underlined links in the text and a new window will open.
  
  When you are ready to return to your VIP page, just close the new window.  To close a window, click on the X button in the upper right-hand corner of the window (upper left on the Mac).  Then you will be back to your VIP page.
