| 13. Course Content Outline: |
The content of this course requires students to analyze and apply the language skills as they transcribe dictation from a variety of business firms and government agencies. Students develop listening and concentration skills as they keep in memory a portion of the dictation and transcribe meaningful communications. Students will also evaluate the format needed for each document and critically discern correctness of the entire item before submitting. The pressure of timed transcripts will develop efficiency and provide a simulated office environment.
