Scott Stover, Head Coach

This is coach Stover's 9th season as the Falcon's Head Coach. Coach Stover has led the Falcons to four straight conference titles and their fifth straight playoff appearances, since 2006. In that span the Falcons are 141-81 over the past four seasons, which ranks them 9th in Northern California in winning percentage during that span. The Falcons are also 108-27 in conference play over the past five seasons. They have only lost two conference series since 2006, clinching four conference titles in the process. Their .635 winning percentage, since 2006 is the highest of all 12 community colleges that can recruit in the Solano County area. Coach Stover's 179 wins at Solano rank him second in school history, behind Stan McWilliams who coached from 1956-1986. The Falcons have broken a number of school records during Coach Stover tenure, including wins (32), conference wins (24) and team batting average (.339).

Coach Stover and his staff take pride that over 85% of their student-athletes have gone on to a four-year school. In fact 25 student-athletes from Coach Stover's first 6 seasons have completed their undergraduate work and have obtained a B.A. or B.S. In addition, he has coached 3 conference players of the year and 3 conference pitchers of the year. He has also been awarded the conference coach of the year honor three times by his peers.

During his tenure, Coach has also been a key element in the renovations of Yarbrough Stadium, the Falcon's home field. With some help from a bond and a lot of fundraising by the coaching staff and players, the Falcons have put together a great facility. With a brand new playing surface and seating area, along with a professional style clubhouse, the Falcons have one of the best facilities in the state.

Coach Stover has experience as a player and coach at both the college and professional levels. In 2000 he got his first taste of Solano County when he was hired as the 3rd base coach and hitting instructor for the Solano Steelheads. This professional baseball club played in the Western Baseball League, which consisted of teams from Arizona, California, and Washington. In 2002 he was offered another position with the Solano Steelheads. The Steelheads made him the youngest Manager in professional baseball that year, at the age of 30.

Coach Stover played at Cosumnes River College in 1992 and 1993. He helped the Chiefs to two playoff appearances and one conference title. Coach Stover was all-conference both seasons, as well as academic all-conference his sophomore season. He also set the school record for most homeruns in a season. It was later broken in 2001. He has played and coached in the Bay Valley Conference for 14 years. Coach Stover received a scholarship to the University of San Francisco, but later transferred to Chico State. After his college career concluded, he was signed by the Reno Chuckars of the Western Baseball League.

In addition to his teaching and coaching duties, Coach Stover also serves as the Assistant Athletic Director. Coach Stover has been married to his wife Michelle for 14 years. They have three children. They have a son named Tyler, 15, and twin daughters named Macey and Malia, 11.
