Tenth season at Solano. Fifteen years college coaching experience. Master's in Kinesiology from San Jose State University. Bachelor's in Kinesiology from Cal State East Bay. NSCAA National Coaching License. In 2001, prior to coming to Solano, Cardinal spent one season as the head women's soccer coach at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose and five seasons as the assistant men's soccer coach at Los Positas College in Livermore from 1995-2000. Bay Valley Conference Coach of the Year in 2002, 2005, 2008, 2009, and 2010 at Solano. Solano has an overall record of 123-54-17 in 9 seasons under Coach Jeff Cardinal. Varsity girls coach at Vanden High School and head coach of Benicia Arsenal U17 girls. Strength and Conditioning coach for North Bay Elite Futbol Club. Solano Alumni from 2004 and 2005. Former NSCAA Junior College Division III National Player of the Year and 1st Team NSCAA All-American at Solano in 2005. Played Division I soccer at Fresno State University on a full-ride scholarship and was named to the 2008 All-WAC tournament team as a senior. Certifications in fitness training and Strength & Conditioning. NSCAA National Diploma. Played for the Skyhawks Soccer Club in Washington. First season at Solano. Two years coaching experience with the U10 Napa Barcelona boys and the U.S. Military U3-15 boys and girls in Germany. Played two years of Division I soccer at St. Mary's University in Moraga on a full ride scholarship before leaving to go pro in Brazil. All-West Coast Conference 1st Team and ranked 4th in the Nation for the NCAA while at St. Mary's. 4 years of professional soccer experience in Brazil, England, Hungary, Trinidad and Tobago, and Germany ![]() Maria Avila

Bay Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Year in 2004 and MVP Defense as a goalkeeper in 2005. Transferred to The Master's College in 2005 on a soccer scholarship. Regional Goalkeeper's honors from The Master's College in 2007. |
