Veterans Resource Center

Purple Heart Medal

Since 1964, Solano Community College has been assisting student Veterans and their dependents with pursuing their educational goals who are using their VA Education Benefits. As a commitment to the Veteran & Active-duty community, Solano Community College established the Veterans Resource Center and began offering courses at Travis Air Force base in 1975. In 2019, Solano Community College was honored to be named the 1st Purple Heart College on the West Coast.

The Veterans Resource Center works to provide comprehensive resources to Veterans, Military and dependents to aid in their overall success as a Solano Community College student. The VRC staff assists students with requirements for using their GI Bill®, Tuition Assistance, MyCAA and Cal Vet Fee Waiver.

Our mission is to create a welcoming, inclusive environment that honors the unique experiences, skills, and perspectives of our Veteran, Military and dependent students.
