Academic Counseling Resources 

WAYS TO TALK TO A COUNSELOR

Express Counseling is for: prerequisite clearances, registration error questions, questions on course substitutions, petition signatures, or other short questions as this service is for 5–10-minute conversations with an academic counselor. Full-transcript reviews or education plans are not available; please make an appointment.
Express Hours vary per day. Please call 707-864-7101 to inquire.
  • There is limited or no Express Counseling when classes aren’t in session.
Process – Please pick the best method for your situation:
  • Email (counseling@solano.edu): best for petitions, prerequisite clearances in which documents are needed to be reviewed (please include the reason you are emailing, your name, Solano Student ID #, and phone number)

Beginning September 25th, 2026, the online scheduling portal for academic counseling appointments will no longer be available. This change is being made to strengthen the security and protection of student information. Please give us a call or visit any of our campuses to schedule an appointment. Unfortunately, we are unable to process appointment requests through email. Before calling/visiting, please have your student ID (SCCID) number ready. Also, ensure you are an active student by either making sure you've been taking classes consistently or you've (re)applied. Please note, SCC does not offer preadmission academic counseling.
