Parking Information

Parking permits are required for all vehicles parked on any of the Solano Community College campuses.

Students, with valid parking permits or meter tickets, may park in Lots 1 through 7 on the Fairfield campus and in the student lots on the Vallejo and Vacaville campuses. Students may NOT park in any lettered lots, reserved spaces, faculty/staff spaces, visitor areas, red zones, safety zones, bus zones, cosmetology spaces (unless you’re a patron with a valid day pass issued by the Cosmetology Department), disabled or rideshare spaces.

You can purchase a Semester Permit at the button below or through your FalconNest portal.

Purchase a Semester Permit

Parking permit machines are located near the entrances of the Fairfield campus and the Vacaville and Vallejo Centers. Machines accept $1 bills or coins.

Daily permits are valid in student/general lots at all Solano College District properties. They are not valid in reserved spaces.

If a machine is out of service, use another. For malfunctions, contact the DPS Office at 707.864.7131.

Important:

  • Vehicles must display a valid parking permit, clearly visible, while parked on District property.

  • Permits are not transferable.

  • Only original permits are valid (no copies, notes, etc.).

  • Semester/year and permit number must be clearly visible.

  • Visitor Permits: Official guests may obtain a Visitor Parking Permit at the Department of Public Safety. Permits allow parking in the lot(s) listed, except reserved spaces.

  • 30-Minute Parking: Visitor parking spaces are located in Lot 1, in front of the 400 Building. All visitors who do not have a Visitor Permit can park here for up to 30 minutes.

  • Longer Visits: If you need more than 30 minutes, purchase a daily permit from a machine and park in a student lot (not in Visitor, Faculty/Staff, or Rideshare spaces).

  • Restrictions:

    • No parking in Visitor spaces with a permit or daily meter ticket.

    • Vehicles parked beyond 30 minutes will be cited.

    • Faculty, staff, and students may not use Visitor spaces.

    • Moving between Visitor spaces does not reset the 30-minute limit. A vehicle may use timed spaces only once in a four-hour period.

  • Vehicles parked in disabled spaces must display:

    1. A valid DMV-issued disabled license plate or placard, and

    2. Either a valid Solano College parking permit or a daily permit from a machine.

  • With both displayed, you may park in any disabled space on any Solano campus, including those located in Faculty/Staff lots.

Important: Parking in a disabled space without proper DMV placard/plate and Solano permit will result in a citation of $250 or more.

Rideshare is another term for carpooling and it requires a special permit for parking. You must have 3 or more people to participate. All three people must be in the vehicle at the time it is parked for the permit to be valid.

Rideshare permits are issued by the Student Life Office in Rooms 1425/1426 (located across from the Bookstore). Vehicles displaying valid rideshare permits may park only in the spaces reserved for rideshare participants. Rideshare stalls are located in the first row of Lot 1 and Lot 2 only. If you do not have a rideshare permit, you cannot park in the rideshare spaces.

RIDESHARE PERMITS ARE VALID ONLY IN RIDESHARE SPACES.

SUMMER SESSION: Rideshare is not available during the summer session. If you have a valid Solano College parking permit, you may park in Rideshare spaces.
