Subsidized + Non-subsidized Care
Subsidized + Non-subsidized Care
At the Solano College Early Learning Center, families may qualify for either subsidized or unsubsidized childcare. Subsidized childcare is available to families who meet income eligibility requirements, meaning that part or all of the childcare cost is covered by state funding. Depending on their situation, families may pay a reduced fee or no fee at all. Unsubsidized childcare applies to families who do not meet the income or program eligibility guidelines; these families pay the full tuition rate for services. In both cases, enrolled Solano College students with demonstrated childcare needs are given priority for placement.
The majority of our child care openings are available to those who meet the income and eligibility guidelines to qualify for a child care subsidy through our contracts with California Department of Education and California Department of Social Services. Families who receive subsidized child care services may pay a portion of their child care or receive care at no cost. Families that wish to use their voucher through Solano Family & Children’s Services should refer to the Non-Subsidized tab for information.
